Information for primary care providers and families on what CAN be done while you wait, from a Genetic Navigator perspective. Many things can be done during the wait time for a genetics appointment or testing to help gather data/information, thus improving service delivery and care and lead to a more successful genetics appointment or genetics testing (for analysis, diagnosis & further investigation). Alternatively, if a patient is denied or not triaged into a genetics appointment there are things that can be done to gather data to help possibly justify an appointment or insurance coverage.
