Dr. Don Bailey, is a Distinguished Fellow and Dr. Elizabeth Reynolds Public Health Research Analyst at the RTI International presented on Early Intervention and Newborn Screening. This presentation examined the relationships between the newborn screening system (NBS) and early intervention (EI) programs for children with or at-risk for disabilities. Dr. Bailey will describe a review of NBS conditions and an analysis of which might be eligible for EI, as well as a survey of EI and NBS coordinators. He concluded with some policy recommendations.
