National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers

Hosted by: California Telehealth Resource Center

Presented by:

Fay MacDonnell, Workflow Engineer

Fay is passionate about process efficiencies. She has received training on the Model for Improvement and Project Management. Those skills, combined with her sociology, human relations, and business management background, has allowed her to take a pragmatic and inviting approach to conducting workflow assessments, involving even the most reluctant of participants. Fay brings people together and draws out important details to find where the gaps and redundancies are in a process, allowing her to create improved processes and recommendations for achieving an efficient workflow. Originally from Washington, Fay has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Human Relations from Washington State University.

Workflow mapping can allow a team to visualize a process and identify gaps or areas for improvement. This presentation will provide an overview of how to develop workflow diagrams for your team and review the telehealth recommended workflows developed by OCHIN, in collaboration with CTRC, Chapa De Indian Health, and Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health.
